Tooth Decay causes and Know The Best Treatment for Tooth Decay

The creation of tooth decay (cavities) could be a major threat to certain people, whether children or adults. However, the decay can be stopped at a large scale if some basic concepts can be thoroughly understood and practiced.

Dental caries, also known as tooth decay or a cavity is a bacterial disease in the processes of change in carbohydrate and sugar in food left on the teeth to acid demineralization hard tooth structure (enamel, dentin and cement).

[1] If the saliva and demineralisation exceeds remineralisation others such as fluoride, these tissues and causes progressive destruction of dental caries (cavities, holes in teeth). Two groups of bacteria are responsible for initiating caries: Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus.

The acids that cause tooth demineralization (tooth decay) are produced by certain types of bacteria living in dental plaque (mainly lactobacilli and mutans streptococci).

Of course, these bacteria are living organisms, like us. And that means the same as when we eat foods and beverages, we create waste products. They do the same. And their waste products are highly acidic compounds that cause the demineralization of the tooth.

Tooth decay is caused by different reasons, but most of them come from poor dental hygiene or neglect. The decay can take up to 7 years to cause tooth decay and therefore can go undetected for a long period of time. Caries prevention is of paramount importance, from a young age onwards. The most common causes of tooth decay.

  • Tooth decay usually causes no symptoms until it has a cavity or infected tooth. When this occurs, symptoms include:
  • Toothache, which is the most common symptom. An infection or irritation of the dental pulp usually cause pain.
  • Bad breath or bad taste in the mouth.
  • White, gray, brown, black or stained teeth.
  • Fillings loose.

A broken tooth or a tooth that is sensitive to pressure

A dental checkup is really a terrifying experience for adults and children alike. Throughout childhood we have heard that dental care is important as brushing and flossing is important, as regular checkups and filling the cavity is important, and so on.

But most of this advice is usually ignored and the appointment of regular dental check dates are rejected each month. That is, until we feel that something is "not quite right" with the tooth.

There are a number of different treatments of caries according to the extent of dental caries. If decay is not extensive, the decayed portions of the tooth is extracted by drilling and filling is replaced with an alloy of silver, gold, porcelain, or composite. The materials used in fillings are considered safe.

Concerns have been raised about the safety of mercury-based, silver amalgam, in particular, but the American Dental Association (ADA), FDA and other public health agencies continue to support the safety of this restorative material. Allergies to silver amalgam are rare as are allergies to other restorative materials.

A good dentist can take care of their sockets. However, for prevention, you need to take proper care of your teeth. Tooth decay can cause migraines start with a toothache. In extreme cases, tooth decay can cause hearing loss and brain-related problems.
